searching in all the wrong places
people everywhere
are looking for love

feminine expressions is, as one reader calls it, "the georgia o'keeffe of poetry, one who deserves to be read aloud." intimacy and the feminine experience are explored in poetic and poignant expressions. what does it mean to touch a woman, know a woman, be a woman... what is the depth of the feminine... what is the life of a girl. welcome to the depth of warm waters that speak of your longing, stimulate your desires, stir your heart, and satisfy your soul...

a lovely circular poem that spins us in its wheel until we return to face the one conclusion, the only conclusion. love.
as my grandfather used to say...
"love conquers all."
so simple and yet so beautiful.
this one was really beautiful! it's definitely my favorite. it's so honest. and yet, i cannot help but wonder, how long does it take before we understand? and when we finally do, how long before we comprehend the magnitude of what we discover?
your words, as usual, have left me in an emotional coma wherein i can do nothing except lie down and lose myself in the thoughts that your words have so cunningly drawn forth.
p.s.
i'm sorry i've been so busy that i haven't been commenting on your posts. but i still remain a devoted reader and admirer of your work. keep it up! *hugs*
I like the swirling pattern of the rose, no beginning, no end. Love seems to have a beginning and end, but it is always a continuous energy that flows within the heart of each individual. The perceived beginning and end are when we tap into the energy and when we cut it off.
Your rose is worth a thousand words.
aahhh....so beautifully stated. it reminds me of whitney's song "the greatest love of all."
are u ok? 5 days have gone by wihout a new post from feminine expressions..i hope ur ok.
thank you, poison. i have been ill the past five days. just when i felt i would never again feel normal, i am becoming my own self again. oh, how i have missed writing...
thank you for noticing, thank you for checking on me, and thank you for caring...
thank you everyone for your lovely comments and for supporting me as i pursue this art...
:)
glad to know that you are alright now...
Can you tell me where my true love is?
If you know, let me know.
Yes the searchers search
fruitlessly. But some of us find what we seek. You are a seeker who finds what you seek in the words you breath. I have not been here in a while, it's good to return to taste these breathless poems, and the gathering around you, such warm and sincere readers.
"we discover
what we are
is love"
very insightful and evocative...
