enlightened one

from before the beginning of time we longed and learned and loved
and together with God we breathed into being the formation of the heavens and the earth.
we are now held in their embrace.

the depths of the oceans hold our mysteries;
the winds in the meadows carry our song.
we are the fruits of the garden,
the harvest of our own labor.

i could not have imagined a more beautiful you.
i love your rivers that pour out to me,
that carry me and comfort me,
that strengthen and sustain me.
i love your light that gently wakens me and heals me.

you have rained jewels upon me and have made me treasured above all the earth
and i have come to know great joy.

all that i have and all that i am
i open unto you that you may take joy in my gifts,
in my offering
and let me be a perfect reflection of your love
